According to a source, the owner has constantly been torturing his cats since 2013. He was arrested and imprisoned for only two months but continues torturing the cats. It was speculated that the cat owner was from China or somewhere in Asia.

After the video was widely shared online, outrage ensued. Similar calls were made for the creator of the video to face consequences. The disturbing nature of the video prompted online communities to rally against it.
