PAGASA Weather Update May 5, 2023 (Friday)

According to the state weather bureau PAGASA,  low pressure and an ITCZ are expected to bring rain to various portions of the country.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration issued the most recent weather advisory in the country on Friday, May 5, 2023. The weather in the country will be affected by the low-pressure area and the Intertropical Convergence Zone.

According to PAGASA, a Low Pressure Area was last seen 95 kilometers east of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, and formed along the Intertropical Convergence Zone. It will have an impact on Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Over the whole of Visayas and Occidental Mindoro, the Easterlies / ITCZ will bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms. The weather in Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country will be similar.

The weather bureau has issued a warning to the public regarding flash floods and landslides caused by moderate to heavy rainfall and strong thunderstorms.
