Arnie Teves Faces Multiple Murdér Charges filed Over 2019 Kíllings

Arnie Teves of the Negros Oriental 3rd District faces numerous murder accusations, along with five others, in connection with suspected kíllings in 2019.

The DOJ charged Teves with murder in the de@ths of three persons in 2019, including former provincial board member Miguel Dungog. In addition to Teves, Hannah Mae, his accused secretary, has been charged by the Philippine National Police’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG).

Alex Mayagma was accused with one count of múrder, while Richard Cuadra alias Boy Cuadra, Jasper Tanasan alias Bobong Tansan, and Rolando Pinili alias Inday were charged with two counts of múrder. As of the time of publishing, no full copy of the complaint was available.

According to reports, the kíllings took place on March 25 in Dumaguete, May 26 in Basay, and June 23 in Bayawan City, Negros Oriental. According to private lawyer Levito Balingod, the statements against the respondents were faked and presented by someone Teves reportedly paid PHP50,000 for each murder.
