Diorella Maria “Lala” Sotto-Antonio, Chairman of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB), reportedly warned content creator Toni Fowler to avoid dragging the MTRCB into her “MPL” music video.

The music video for “MPL” has already received 6.4 million video views as of this writing.

On February 21, 2023, the Board issued a statement about the music video for Toni Fowler and Freshbreed’s “MPL.”

According to an ABS-CBN News report, Sotto-Antonio stated in an interview with journalists that “MPL” was never approved by the Board.

“Somebody who was part of the video said that the video was rated SPG (Strictly Parental Guidance). They should refrain from saying that because the SPG belongs to the classification system of the MTRCB,” Sotto-Antonio said. “Had it gone through the MTRCB, it would never receive an SPG. We would have given that an X rating.”

Toni Fowler stated that her “MPL” music video was “restricted” and not meant for a general audience, Sotto-Antonio’s response came after Toni Fowler.
