On the Eat Bulaga episode “Pinoy Henyo,” the It’s Showtime host made fun of alleged cheating.
Couples competed in Pinoy Henyo on February 14. However, the show faced criticism after Lyka and Ryan were exposed as cheaters by watchful internet users.
The male contestant was accused of signaling the word “Abra” to his partner after the female contestant correctly answered it. The female contestant was spotted signaling her boyfriend the right answer as the pair attempted to guess the word “stomach.”
After the episode, Dabarkads Ryan Agoncillo and Miles Ocampo commented about cheating. Allan K, Jose Manalo, and Henyo Master Joey de Leon, three hosts of Eat Bulaga, all shared their thoughts on “cheating.”
Even though they didn’t say which episode they were referring to, it is clear that they are talking about the Valentine’s Day episode. Days after the couple was revealed, Eat Bulaga erased the episode that was popular, but internet users are still talking about it on social media.
The cheating scandal on Pinoy Henyo has now spread to It’s Showtime, an ABS-CBN noontime show. Vice Ganda made fun of the controversial Eat Bulaga part during the Girl on Fire grand finals.
A participant was playfully asked by Vice if she had seen the previous Pinoy Henyo episode.
Eat Bulaga’s administration has not yet made an official statement to address the problem. But after receiving harsh criticism for her sister, Lyka Alburo’s sister issued a statement.
