Rabiya Mateo has disclosed the cause for her breakup with ex-boyfriend Neil Salvacion for the very first time.

Miss Universe Philippines 2020 stated on Tuesday’s episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” that it was not true that she and Neil ended the relationship because of her pageant journey.

“He proposed to me, and I was so young at that time. “I wasn’t ready,” Rabiya explained.

The Sparkle star claims that she still has several ambitions for herself and her family, which causes her hesitant to settle down.

“During that time, he was ready to settle na because feeling niya, okay na siya sa buhay. Pero ako, I wanna aspire to be more, so doon kami nagkaroon ng conflict,” Rabiya recounted.

The beauty queen also stated that she felt she couldn’t give her all to the relationship due to all that was going on in her life at the moment.

Rabiya went on to say that because she grew up without a father, she took on the responsibility of being the breadwinner for her family.
