Following the granting of his bail for temporary release, the It’s Showtime host’s lawyers spoke on his behalf.

Last September, actor Vhong Navarro and his family were taken aback by the events surrounding his legal battle with Deniece Cornejo. The court issued an arrest warrant for the Kapamilya actor in connection with the model’s charges.

Vhong turned himself in to the National Bureau of Investigation. He was held at the NBI Detention Facility for more than a month before being transferred to Taguig City Jail after a commitment order was issued. The charges were filed against him in Taguig.

Concerned for Vhong’s safety, the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in Taguig assured his family that he would be safe while in their custody. He was placed in isolation for several days as part of the protocols for his transfer to Taguig City Jail.

Vhong Navarro filed a bail petition. Prior to his transfer to BJMP in Taguig, he was subjected to petition hearings. Taguig Regional Trial Court recently issued a decision on the actor’s bail appeal.

Vhong was granted temporary liberty by the Taguig RTC after posting a P1 million bail. The actor’s camp immediately posted bail, and he was escorted to Taguig BJMP by his wife, Tanya Bautista.

According to an ABS-CBN News report, it was the lawyers of Vhong Navarro, Atty. Atty., and Bon Arcilla Maggie Abraham who spoke for the Showtime host during the interview. According to his legal counsel, the actor chose not to give an interview because he is “tired and wants to spend time with his family.”

According to the report, Vhong Navarro wishes to “rest in the coming days.” He also intends to return to It’s Showtime. His wife and family are overjoyed that bail has been granted for the Kapamilya actor’s release.

“It’s going to be a blessed Christmas, a very good Christmas for the family,” Tanya said as she entered the facility to retrieve her husband.
