The year 2022 has been a busy one for Filipino fans who have traveled to Manila to witness their favorite “Oppas” at K-pop concerts and fan meetups.

Those who are left wanting more may look forward to additional in-person events featuring their favorite Asian performers.

The Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP.ph) has compiled a list of South Korean idols and Thai stars that are scheduled to visit the Philippines in 2023.

SOO HYUN KIM

Kim Soo Hyun, renowned for his roles in the K-drama series My Love From The Star and It’s Okay Not to Be Okay, has been cast in another program in the Philippines. The 34-year-old South Korean star is expected to have a fan meetup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on January 17, 2023, seven months after his last visit.

Fans may acquire tickets and goodies by purchasing Dunkin’ Donut bundles in the seat section of their choice.

ITZY

South Korean female group, is bringing their “Checkmate” international tour to Manila. The five-piece ensemble will perform back-to-back concerts at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on January 14 and 15, 2023. It would be the girls’ second return to Manila, after their first visit in 2019 for their showcase tour, ITZY? ITZY!.

ITZY has formed themselves as a K-pop group since their debut in 2019, with chart-topping singles such as “Wannabe,” “Dalla Dalla,” “Mafia In the Morning,” “Not Shy,” and “Icy.”

Kim Soo Hyun has previously assured his Filipino fans that he would visit the country more frequently.

“I will be working very hard so that I come back and come back often, and hope to see you all again soon with good news about projects.”

“I’d love to come back and see you all again,” he remarked at the fan event last June.

KIM SEON HO

Kim Seon Ho, the breakout star, will host his first-ever fan gathering in the Philippines on January 22, 2023. The meet and greet is part of his “One, Two, Three.” Smile, Asia Tour, which will take place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Kim Seon Ho rose to fame after appearing in the popular Korean drama series Start Up. Despite being the drama’s second protagonist, Seon Ho enchanted the public with his excellent depiction of Han Ji Pyeong in the series, throwing his career to international popularity.

He appeared in the two-person play Ice before starring in the uplifting K-drama Hometown Cha Cha Cha with Hallyu star Shin Min Ah in 2021.

Sad Tropics, a South Korean film, will be Seon Ho’s next production.

Ovation Productions has yet to provide more information regarding the fan meetup. Minho recently released his first solo album, Chase, and he also appears in the Netflix romance K-drama The Fabulous.
