The only thing their mother Raquel Pempengco asks of Jake Zyrus, formerly Charice Pempengco, is that he spend time with his younger and only brother, Carl.
On Friday morning, December 9, 2022, Jake’s brother, age 27, was taken to a hospital in Muntinlupa City after experiencing a mild stroke while riding his motorcycle.
Carl sustained head and body injuries after being thrown from the motorcycle he was riding when it overturned on the road.
Rescuers from Muntinlupa City who were on the scene of the accident brought him to the hospital.
Carl underwent a variety of tests, including a CT scan and an ECG, in addition to having wounds, his blood pressure rising, being unable to move his left side of his body, being unable to speak, and having trouble breathing.
Jake receives a message from Carl while he is in the emergency room of the hospital. He did not respond, so I had to call their mother once more.

“Kaya mula nang namatayan ako ng mga anak, hindi na ako nagme-message sa kanya.
“Sana, kahit ang kapatid na lang niya ang kanyang pansinin at kahit wala nang Pasko dahil sanay na ako na hindi kami kumpleto,”

Her deceased relatives are Raquel’s mother and brother, both of whom passed away in quick succession in April 2022.
