Due to a paucity of classrooms, ten schools in Quezon City would initially continue under blended learning, according to an official on Wednesday. This Wednesday also marks the start of required full-face-to-face lessons in all public schools across the country, while certain exceptions are permitted.

However, according to Jenny Corpuz, superintendent of the schools division in Quezon City, 10 of the city’s 158 schools are unable to revert to conventional teaching methods.

“They still have delivery even in 100-percent face-to-face [classes]. Ten out of 158 [schools],” Corpuz explained.

It is said to include:

  1. Justice Cecilia Munoz Palma High School
  2. New East High School
  3. Batasan High School
  4. Balara High School
  5. San Bartolome High School
  6. Novaliches High School
  7. Dona Rosario High School
  8. Ismael Mathay Senior High School
  9. New Era High School
  10. Emilio Jacinto High School

“There are not enough classrooms in the schools mentioned so they have to resort to blended learning,” Corpuz explained.

Because the local government has issued tablets, it is expected that pupils will have no trouble with integrated learning.

Corpuz also encouraged children to keep wearing face masks despite the Department of Education’s decision to make them optional in schools under Executive Order No. 7. DepEd had stated that 94 percent of schools in the National Capital Region had fully adopted face-to-face lessons on Wednesday.
