Jason David Frank, better known as Mighty Morphin Power Rangers’ Green Power Ranger Tommy Oliver, has died at the age of 49. The actor and mixed martial artist rose to prominence in the popular children’s series, which debuted on television in 1993.

On Sunday, a spokesman for Frank confirmed the actor’s de@th to Yahoo Entertainment. The cause of death has yet to be determined.

“Unfortunately, it is true. Please respect the privacy of his family and friends during this horrible time as we come to terms with the loss of such a wonderful human being,”

“He loved his family, friends, and fans very much. He will be truly missed.”

Friends and followers paid tribute to Frank on social media. Walter Emmanuel Jones, the first Black Power Ranger who co-starred with Frank in the successful TV show, took to Instagram to remember and mourn his comrade.

“Can’t believe it … RIP Jason David Frank. My heart is sad to have lost another member of our special family,” Jones tweeted, along with a photo of himself and Frank on the red carpet. The first Yellow Power Ranger, Thuy Trang, was killed in a car collision in 2001.

“Sources with direct knowledge told TMZ the death was the result of suic*de, though an official cause of de@th has yet to be revealed. Walter Emmanuel Jones, the original Black Power Ranger who co-starred with Frank in “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers,” expressed shock on Instagram.
