Miss International Showcased A Crown With A Sakura Theme

Miss International has debuted a new crown developed by sakura, or cherry blossoms.

The crown, designed in collaboration with Long Beach Pearl, contains 333 pearls to represent “luck and survival,” 1,960 gems to commemorate the first year the Miss International pageant was held, and three pearls measuring up to 15 millimeters.

Bint Sireethorn of Thailand, the reigning titleholder, is visible wearing the crown during the opening ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, over the weekend.

“The sakura theme symbolizes Japan’s well-loved icon that blooms during springtime. Sakura or cherry blossom is a representation of resilience and beauty,” according to a post on Miss International’s Instagram page.

This year’s Miss International will be held on December 13 at the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Japan.

Hannah Arnold is competing for the seventh title for the Philippines, following Kylie Verzosa (2016), Bea Rose Santiago (2013), Precious Lara Quigaman (2005), Melanie Marquez (1979), Aurora Pijuan (1970), and Gemma Cruz (1970). (1964).
