Gretchen Ho and her family are currently in mourning after her father, James Ho, passed away

The heartbreaking news was shared on social media by the television host and former volleyball player.

“Panalo na tayo.. Love you dad. You will live on in us. Rest easy,” she captioned a photo on Instagram.

In an Instagram story, the news anchor also expressed gratitude to those who showed her father love.

“Thank you for coming; Dad, I’m sure we’re very happy to see all of you; thank you, thank you,” she said.

“What a pleasant surprise.. Our dad’s workers from the printing factory came to the interment today.. wearing shirts made in honor of my father. They hired 3 jeeps to be able to come. Some of them came on bikes. Maraming salamat.” Gretchen wrote on Facebook.

Gretchen Ho is a Filipino television host and former volleyball player. From 2008 to 2013, she was a member of the Ateneo Lady Eagles volleyball team. Her popularity skyrocketed after she joined the casts of Umagang Kay Ganda, TV Patrol, and The Score as a co-host.

Gretchen took to Instagram Stories a few days ago to share a sweet moment with her father. She posted a photo of herself and her father riding in a van, saying that he was overjoyed to be in a van again. The TV host revealed that she recently purchased a new car because she needed it for her show. Gretchen also stated that her father drove the van around the village one last time before passing away.
