The video, taken by Indian Forest Service officer Susanta Nanda, shows a rhino rousing up a dozing dog on the side of the road. Susanta’s video, which she posted on Twitter on November 15, 2022, has already had over 91K views and 3.9K reactions as of time of posting.

The rhino merely emerged and approached the sleeping dog at the beginning of the video. It sniffed at the dog, who blinked when he touched it. It is clear that he was taken aback when he noticed a massive beast smelling him.

The dog barked, sprung to his feet, and bolted at full speed. The rhino stood there, as though puzzled, and kept going slowly.

“If you wanted any proof that the Rhinos are really gentle,” Susanta captioned the video.

Netizens are ecstatic by the video and their remarks. “Nightmare for the dog,” one Twitter user commented.

“Imagine waking up to something like that,” another guy said.

Susanta, the video’s uploader, is the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) Nodal in Odisha, a state in eastern India on the Bay of Bengal.

He received India’s top forestry award in 2007 for his major contribution to the forest and environment sectors in his nation. He is a nature lover and animal enthusiast.

He has a lot of animal videos on his Twitter account.
