Filmmaker Paul Soriano’s new position as the president’s creative communications adviser would only pay him P1 per year.

On Monday, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. himself provided the details while administiring Soriano to oath of office., a nephew of first lady Liza Araneta-Marcos.

“One of the greatest assets of the Filipino is our creativity, and we must find many ways to highlight that to the rest of the world. And that is what Paul Soriano has already been doing in his career as a filmmaker. And now we have asked him to help us at one peso per year,” President Marcos stated.

The man behind Marcos’ election-related advertisements, Soriano, thanked the president for appointing him as an adviser.

Malacañang claims that Soriano would provide Marcos advice and support on subjects that will enhance their information dissemination programs and initiatives, as well as departments and agencies, along with government-owned and controlled corporations.

De Anza College in California, United States, is where Soriano received his degree in advertising and marketing communications.
