In a post on social media, the wife of actor-turned-senator Robin Padilla provided an update on her spouse, who had recently undergone heart surgery.

Padilla is often involved in television, having starred in Asian Treasures, Joaquin Bordado, Totoy Bato, Guns and Roses, and Toda Max, among other shows.

In the most recent senate election, Robin Padilla received more than 26 million votes.

The politician-turned-actor recently completed heart surgery at the Asian Hospital in Muntinlupa City.

His wife Mariel Padilla reported that his procedure went well.

Her Instagram post received a huge number of responses from people asking for prayers for his quick recovery, including, to mention a few, RR Enriquez, Karla Estrada, Aiko Melendez, Danica Pingris, Iza Calzado, Vina Morales, Marjorie Barretto, and many others.

Last June, Padilla felt weak and lightheaded while strolling through a park in Spain and was sent to a hospital on the spot. At the moment, his blood pressure was 200/150.
