After just being selected by the online shopping company to serve as its endorser, Shopee’s newest endorser, Toni Gonzaga, has at long last broken her silence.
Now that Toni is no longer a member of the Kapamilya Network, she has a deal with AMBS, a network owned by former senator and multibillionaire tycoon Manny Villar.
She was announced as the newest brand ambassador for Shopee on Thursday, September 29.
She expressed her gratitude for being accepted and for joining the Shopee family throughout her remarks. She also praised the online community for helping her.
According to Manila Bulletin, she stated, “I feel really blessed… I am also grateful because yesterday we were trending. We are grateful to the netizens for the engagements, mentions, because they are one of the reasons why we are here.”
Before announcing Toni as Shopee’s newest brand ambassador, the online company faced intense criticism over rumors that it was laying off workers.
Shopee has not yet made a formal statement in response to the criticism they are getting.
A lot of people, including legendary actor Jaime Fabregas, have deleted their Shopee accounts.
