Veteran broadcaster Anthony Taberna criticized the “Kakampinks” for their boycott of the shopping platform Shopee.

Leni Robredo’s supporters have been under criticism from Anthony “Ka Tunying” Taberna for allegedly closing down the online marketplace after announcing their new endorser. Additionally, it was reported that Shopee was terminating employees.

Following netizens, mostly from the Angat Buhay chairperson’s camp, encouraged people to boycott Shopee after it selected Toni Gonzaga, an actress and singer who supports Marcos, as its new brand ambassador, Ka Tunying made his remarks on the most recent episode of his YouTube live.

“Wala kayong kadala-dala… yang boycott, boycott niyo na yan malaking kalokohan yan… dahil marami ng Pilipino ang na-bu-bwiset dyan sa boycott, boycott i-style nyo na yan,” Taberna stated.

“Hindi pa ba kayo nakaka-move on sa matindi at kahiya-hiyang pagkatalo nung manok niyo? Dapat tapos na yun, tapos na yun. Pwede ba tama na? Sinasaktan niyo lang ang sarili niyo,” he continued.

Recently, the hashtags #BoycottShopee and #ByeShopee also trending online in reaction to the release of the aforementioned teaser.
