This morning, a snake was discovered inside a Roxas City grocery. After getting a plea for assistance owing to the observation of a reticulated python, or snake, BFP Roxas City members rushed to a grocery in Barangay Inzo, Roxas City, Capiz.
The reticulated python is a kind of python found in South and Southeast Asia. It is the world’s longest and one of the three heaviest snakes. Because of its widespread range, it is categorized as having the least concern on the IUCN Red List.
Similar to the incident at SM Cebu, video footage of many security officers and other employees struggling with a big snake discovered at SM Cebu has gone viral.
The alarming footage of some staff and other security officers apprehending a massive snake sparked the curiosity of the internet community.
The snake was quickly removed from the supermarket’s goods by responding firefighters.
The snake was captured successfully, and the BFP Roxas City turned over care to the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office Capiz, PENRO-Capiz.
