The five members of the rescue squad who dièd in the path of Typhoon Karding on September 25, 2022 are regarded as heroes.

George Agustin, Narciso Calayag Jr., Troy Justin Agustin, Jerson Resurreccion, and Marby Bartolome were confirmed as the five rescuers.

They are members of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, which executed a rescue effort in the Bulacan town of San Miguel.

Their bodies were discovered separately in Brgy. San Miguel’s Camias.

A section of the wall also collapsed and landed on their boat. The rescuers were stranded.
