The officer featured in the widely shared street food post is being looked into by the Davao City Police Office (DCPO).

According to the Facebook page “DXDN 103.3 Max FM Midsayap Official,” police have opened an investigation into the officer who was featured in a popular street food post. The message received a range of responses from online users.

According to  Police Major Ma. Teresita Gaspan, the DCPO spokesperson, the police have been looking through the closed-circuit television (CCTV) tape to find and recognize the police officer.

On Tuesday, August 9, 2022, a user of the internet by the name of Angelica Almaden reported seeing a patrol car in front of a vendor of various types of street food. The street vendor offered the officer a few street food in a plastic bag.

Unfortunately, after getting the food, the policeman even requested more hotdogs and dip before departing the location.

The Davao City Police Office has made it clear that PCpl Lad, who is currently a member of the DCPO’s Mobile Patrol Unit, is in charge of running the food stand. Before Almaden and the patrol arrived, the officers had already paid the order.
