The renowned actress courageously faced illness till she passed away this past week on Friday, August 5, at the age of 59.

The most recent online edition of “Cristy Ferminute” included Cristy discussing Cherie’s condition and the reasons why the news of her passing was not at all unexpected.

According to Cristy, the late actress’s family and her closest friends were aware of her cancer diagnosis for a considerable amount of time.

“Hindi po ito biglaan. Matagal na pong alam ng kanyang pamilya at malalapit na kaibigan ang kanyang pinagdadaanang pagbiyahe tungkol sa kanyang sakit na cancer,” Cristy started.

In the video, Cristy said that Cherie had been complaining of back discomfort for a while before her condition was discovered.

“Matagal na po niyang inaano eh, dinadaing yung kanyang likuran, meron siyang bukol sa likuran na patuloy sumasakit at patuloy na lumalaki. Nang operahan po at i-biopsy, nalaman po na ang manifestation ay sa likod niya pero nag-ugat po ang kanyang CA sa uterus,” Cristy Fermin stated.

“Pagkatapos po na malaman yung sa uterus, ang kanyang mga buto na po ang pinuntirya. Dun na po siya lubusang nanghina. At pagkatapos nun, nakitaan po siya ng tatlong tumor sa ulo,” she continued.
