Rica Peralejo became sentimental when she stepped into the ABS-CBN building again.

Rica is a homegrown talent of the Kapamilya network and was the mainstay of ASAP back then. But Rica quit showbiz when she got married.

Guest Rica, along with batchmates Jolina Magdagal and Nikki Valdez, on the episode of ASAP Natin ‘To on Sunday, July 4, 2022.

Regine Velasquez and Zsa Zsa Padilla joined them on stage to sing the song.

Rica documented the highlights of her homecoming to ABS-CBN on Instagram.

In her article, Rica highlighted her happy recollections of the Kapamilya network.

Her message, “Being on television last Sunday again reminded me of how lucky I was to have grown up performing alongside some of the greatest names in the industry since I was 12 years old.

“I no longer sing for a living but when I was invited I said yes kasi napakakapal naman ng mukha ko mag-no after sabihin kasama ko ay no less than ZsaZsa P and Regine V.

“At higit sa lahat, na magkadressing room kaming muli nila @nikkivaldez_ at @mariajolina_ig na na ang lakas makabalik ng many good memories.

“Hindi ko akalain na maeenjoy ko pala ito.”

Rica had no idea her rumored guest appearance on ASAP would be so emotional.

In another article, he stated that the ABS-CBN building functioned as his second home because he grew up there.

He stated that while much has changed, he still has many fond recollections.

“Everything feels different while also everything feels familiar. Like it was only yesterday,” she said.

“Part of me is emotional, and maybe that comes with your 40s and you realize so much of what shaped your life.

“And it reminded me today of how I never wanted to be popular, and that I only wanted to be a performer. It reminded me also of hard work.

“It reminded me of how humbling it is to be in this business, of how you cannot be entitled.”

He recalls his sister, Paula Peralejo, escorting him to the building.

“I entered ABSCBN that day as a regular kid with an ice cream stain on her peach shirt she bought on sale in Cinderella, and went out with a new direction in her hands.

“TOO. MANY. MEMORIES. TOO. MANY. DEFINING. MOMENTS. Nag-asap lang naman dapat diba?” biro pa niya sa kanyang post.

Rica captured the key locations of the ABS-CBN building in the highlights.

“The hallway of my childhood,” caption niya sa hallway ng ABS-CBN main building.

He also photographed the dressing room he initially used almost two decades ago.

“many Sundays i spend in this very studio,” She said.

Although Rica liked performing, it appears that entertainment is no longer her first focus.

His last caption translates to: “time to go home now, that was a good trip down memory lane.”
