Hidilyn Diaz and Julius Naranjo must still wait for two years after being married before they can start thinking about having their first child.

The Olympic gold medalist and world champion weightlifter claims that while starting a family and having children are important to her and her future spouse, they will remain in love until 2024.

Hidilyn claims she is prepared to become a mother and a parent, but she and Julius must put it off since she has to compete in the following match.

Hidilyn Diaz said, “Yes, we’re planning to have our family soon. Ako, gusto na. But we’re still aiming for Paris 2024.”

The participation of Hidilyn in the 2024 Olympics in Paris is already scheduled. She will have fought five times at the aforementioned Summer Games.

Despite losing in the 55-kg weight division during the Tokyo Olympics, she will attempt to compete in the 59-kg weight division.

“Mas challenging. Mas natatakot ako ngayon kasi siyempre, ‘yung body weight is 59. Noong Tokyo, 55. So I have to move up ng body weight,” she continued.

A positive response from Hidilyn stated, “Siyempre kailangan kong lumakas ng plus 20 to 30 kilos. Sinasabi ng iba na imposible, pero kung gugustuhin mo, together with Team HD, his specialty, kaya naman.”

They hope their firstborn, if Hidilyn becomes pregnant, would be a girl, although Julius admits he would rather have a boy.
