The former MasterChef competitor responded to actress and chef Judy Ann Santos’ remark.
Judy Ann’s Kitchen, a cookbook she authored in 2015, earned a Gourmand International Cookbook Award for Best Authors and Chefs Outside Europe.
Judy, often known as the Queen of Pinoy Soap Opera or Young Superstar, is one of the most popular actresses of all time.
She has garnered several honors and distinctions for her acting talent, including a Cairo International Film Festival Award, a Gawad Urian, two Luna Awards, two Metro Manila Film Festival Awards, and three FAMAS Awards.
She previously confessed that the ongoing rise in commodity costs is finding it tough for her to produce a new episode of her online cooking show.
“Ang hirap kasing mag-isip ng mga episode especially kung ang pagtaas ng presyo ng bilihin ay napakalala,” she stated.
“Ayaw kong maka-relate ‘yung viewers sa kung ano mang lutuin ‘yung gagawin ko kasi parang napaka-unfair naman ‘di ba?” she continued.
Her message got a lot of attention, and among those who commented was former MasterChef contestant Pebbles Cunanan.
Judy Ann Santos, she believes, should learn how to identify alternative and less expensive ingredients.
