The Department of Health has broken its silence on health concerns raised by some of the popular noodle brand “Lucky Me” products.

Many consumers were concerned previously when rumors of some Lucky Me items being recalled in some countries surfaced. France and Ireland have published statements alerting customers concerning several of the noodle brand’s products.

Many Filipinos like the products of the popular Pinoy noodle brand “Lucky Me.”

The stated noodle brand, owned by Monde Nissin, is clearly one of the most well-known in the country, and their pancit canton is a favorite among many consumers.

Lucky Me items are typically provided for breakfast and lunchtime snacks. They are commonly served with toast and eggs, although they can also be served as an paired with rice.

The countries alleged that the goods contained ethylene oxide, a pesticide. Monde Nissin was eager to clarify that it was used in the treatment of spices to prevent microorganisms development.

The Department of Health (DOH) has ended its silence on the health concerns raised by the Lucky Me products.

According to an ABS-CBN News report, the health department stated that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will examine the noodles mentioned in the product recall.

Regarding the prospect of recalling products, the DOH states that only those products contaminated by the banned substance will be recalled.
