On Monday, the Walt Disney Company announced an agreement that would bring a documentary series and a performance featuring the K-pop band BTS to the Disney+ streaming service.

The series, which will premiere on Disney+ next year, will feature music and film from the South Korean group’s last nine years. “BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star” will feature “the everyday lives, ideas, and plans” of the group’s members “as they prepare for their second chapter,” according to Disney.

BTS stated last month that they would be taking a vacation while members focused on separate projects.

The arrangement between Disney and BTS management business HYBE also authorizes Disney+ to broadcast a recording of a stadium concert in Los Angeles in November 2021, the group’s first performance in front of fans following a two-year hiatus caused by the COVID-19 outbreak.

The agreement includes a reality program called “In the Soop: Friendcation,” which will include V from BTS, Seo-jun Park from “Itaewon Class,” Woo-shik Choi from “Parasite,” singer and actor Hyung-sik Park, and rapper Peakboy.

According to Disney, the show would follow the five pals “on a surprise trip” and “enjoying a range of leisure and fun activities.”

Over the next three years, Disney will also launch new programs from other HYBE artists, according to the release.
