Coleen Garcia, an actress, said that motherhood benefited her performance in the film Kaluskos.

Her most latest movie might very well compete at the 2022 Cinemalaya Film Festival. Coleen inspired her persona on an article in The Philippine Star about a woman who is fighting for custody of her separated daughter.

Coleen’s role encounters a weird occurrence when her child reconnects with her easier than she imagined.

Coleen Garcia, who is a mom in real life, stated that her character in the film is extremely timely.

“I don’t know if I would have played the role the same way kung hindi pa ako mom,” the actress admits.

Coleen’s career in the Philippine entertainment business has provided her with several opportunities to play a variety of roles over the years.

The wife of Lunch Out Loud anchor Billy Crawford took their child, Amari, to the film set. Coleen would take care of her small son during breaks. It was easy for her to carry that character in front of the camera since she fulfilled her obligations as a mother off-screen.

“Dalang-dala ko ‘yung pagiging mommy ko doon [sa shooting],” the celebrity mother stated, emphasizing that she did not need to make additional effort in performing this character because it came easily to her.

Her parenthood experience has assisted her career as an actress. “Kitang-kita ‘yung growth ko not just as an actor but as a person, a human being na nasa next stage ng buhay,”  she concluded.
