BARMM: The DOH Prepares a Special Vaccination Day

In the Bangsamoro Region, the Department of Health (DOH) has immunized children and adults against COVID-19 on Special Vaccination Day.

As part of BARMM’s incentive programs, tokens and gift packs were given to people who obtained vaccinations, according to the DOH.

In a statement issued Thursday night, the DOH officer-in-charge Maria Rosario Vergeire stated, “Through this kind of effort, we give the gift of safety and security to our loved ones especially to our dear senior citizens, children, and those who are immunocompromised.”

“Let us all be in one spirit for the protection of the Filipino nation, so that we can finally live safe and comforting lives,” she continued.
Vergeire also made Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim a courtesy call, according to a second statement from the DOH.

Vergeire also asked the area for assistance with the PinasLakas campaign, which will begin on July 26.

To provide vaccines to the different settings in the region our schools, markets, offices, and the community, she stated, “We will need your support.”

According to DOH data, as of July 21, 1,584,124 people, or 51.05 percent of the target population in BARMM, have received all of their COVID-19 vaccinations.

In the meanwhile, boosters have been given to 163,308, or 5.26 percent, of the target population.
A total of 71,439,759 people nationwide, or 91.47 percent of the target population, have received all recommended vaccinations. 15,797,385 of them, or 20.23 percent, have had their first booster injections; 1,146,735, or 1.47 percent, have had their second.
