Despite concerns and rumours that he would withdraw from the presidential run, the senator remained in the fight until election day.

The results of the 2022 elections, unfortunately did not favor Sen. Pacquiao. However, he was third on the list, with at least 3,663,113 votes.

Shortly after the election, both the losing and winning parties are required to file their Statement of Contributions and Expenditure (SOCE). It will indicate the financial donations they got from various sources, as well as their overall spending.

According to ABS-CBN News, Sen. Manny Pacquiao has presented his SOCE. It indicated that his overall campaign spending for the 2022 elections exceeded P119 million. His own wealth account for around half of the total.

According to the boxer-turned-Senator, he got P56.4 million in donations, which included P7.75 million in cash and P48.7 million in in-kind donations. His personal assets covered almost P62.6 million of his costs.

Sen. Pacquiao announced his retirement from boxing immediately after confirming his presidential run in 2021. With his wins that gave honor and pride to the country, the champion in multiple divisions put the Philippines on the boxing map.
