Vice Ganda appears to be in a generous mood today, May 20, as he gave away P5,000 to over 100 “It’s Showtime” staff and crew members—and fans of the broadcast can also enjoy a portion of the reward.

While Christmas is still months away, the comedian referred to his treat as a “early Christmas gift” on today’s episode of “It’s Showtime,” which was aired live on the show’s official YouTube account.

“Sa buhay hindi pwedeng ikaw lang ang maganda. Hindi mo maa-appreciate ‘yung ganda mo kung lahat ng nakapaligid sa’yo, hindi naman naaabutan ng ganda,” he said.

(In our world, you cannot be the only one who is lovely; you will not appreciate your beauty if everyone else is not touched by it.)

Vice Ganda went on to say that he couldn’t wait till Christmas to reward the show’s cast and crew, saying that he was in a good mood.

“Minsan ang bilis ng panahon. Minsan ang bagal. So hindi natin alam kung maiinip ba tayo sa pagdating ng December o bukas makalawa andyan na ‘yan. Baka hindi ko na mahintay ang December,” He informed them on the set of the show.

(Time moves swiftly at times and slowly at others, so we don’t know whether we should be bored waiting for December to arrive or if it will arrive soon; perhaps I can’t wait for December any longer.)

“Maganda ang gising ko. ‘Yung 130 na staff, lahat kayo makakatanggap ng P5,000 each. Merry Christmas, Showtime!”

He was delighted. (I woke up feeling fantastic today; the 130 staff members will each earn P5,000; Merry Christmas, Showtime!)

Vice Ganda then expressed his love to the “It’s Showtime” cast and crew for their thoughtfulness. “I woke up today realizing that I have been so blessed to have you. And I just want to put a little smile on your faces today,” he said.

Vice Ganda then addressed “It’s Showtime” viewers, telling them that if they utilized the show’s hashtag for today, “#ShowtimeVeryFunny,” they may win P10,000 apiece.

“‘Yung tweet na may pinakamagandang picture ko, pipili tayo mamaya,” he joked. “Ayan ah, para masaya lang ang araw natin.”(The tweet with the most stunning picture of me will be selected later, so that all of us may be pleased today.)

Meanwhile, Vice Ganda recently disputed allegations that ABS-CBN artists are still pushing for the network to be granted a franchise once its current one expires in May 2020.

He encouraged “trolls” to “move on,” emphasizing that ABS-CBN no longer applied for a franchise and is constantly developing programming for other platforms.
