Mariel shared an image of her children in Toledo’s Plaza de Padilla on her Instagram account, @marieltpadilla.

According to the celebrity parent, she is frequently asked why her children’s surnames begin with “De.”

She then disclosed that it was Robin’s desire to “honor their ancestors,” which is why she took her children to Toledo as well.

“Most people ask me why my kids have “De” in their last name. It was Robin’s request when I was pregnant to honor their ancestors. Juan De Padilla is a spanish missionary, a leader in the Castilian war and a true revolutionary. I brought my kids to Toledo just for this photo (and also to do laundry). [So] now you know why Robin is the way he is… nasa dugo talaga nila ang pagiging Rebolusyonaryo.”
