Many netizens are now questioning Kapamilya stars Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla’s absence from the wedding of close friends Patrick Sugui and Aeriel Garcia.

Some fans guessed in Gabbi’s post regarding the wedding as to why KathNiel was not present.

The actress immediately explained that her post was intended for Sugui and Garcia, and that her partner, Ramos, had asked for respect.

“This post is for Pat & Ae, our newlyweds. Mahiya naman po kayo,” Gabbi stated.

Ramos stated, “Respeto na lang guys eh. Mahirap ba ibigay yun?”

But Sugui didn’t seem to appreciate some of the fans’ comments, so he was expected to respond to some of them and indicated that Padilla and Bernardo were on lock-in taping and couldn’t go.

Sugui stated that “Pinagsasabi mo? Nasa lock in taping sila kaya wala sila. Nagmamarunong ka diyan? Close ka? Hanap ka ibang trip. Wag asawa ko.”

It also refuted claims that they weren’t OK with KathNiel, thus she didn’t show up to their wedding. Sugui claimed that he even tried to advise the two directors that they may go, but he allegedly refused.

Some KathNiel fans were not satisfied by Sugui’s answer, especially because the two actresses were present at Riva Quenery’s daughter’s baptism.
