The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) announced on Monday that it is still evaluating claims that three persons died in Region 11 as a result of the effects of Tropical Storm Agaton (Davao Region).

According to the agency’s Monday afternoon report, two of the victims were from Monkayo, Davao de Oro, and one was from Cateel, Davao Oriental.

It is also investigating a missing person case in Monkayo. Meanwhile, two persons were reported injured in Region 10 (northern Mindanao).


As of this publication, there are 2,362 people, 1,180 rolling cargoes, six boats, and one motorbanca stuck in Regions 5, 7, 8, and the Caraga.

A total of 1,469 households, or approximately 4,528 persons, were evacuated ahead of time in Regions 7, 8, and Caraga.
