MANILA, Philippines – Presidential and Vice Presidential aspirants have presented a list of senatorial candidates, including former Sen. Bongbong Marcos and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio (BBM-Sara UniTeam), who they would support in the forthcoming 2022 elections.
“The list represents a mixture of seasoned and proven political personalities who have excelled in their respective endeavors,” Vic Rodriguez, Marcos’ spokesperson, stated on Thursday.
Here is a list of senate candidates running on their ticket:
• Former Public Works and Highways secretary Mark Villar
• Former Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque
• Sen. Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri
• SAGIP Party-list Rep. Rodante Marcoleta
• Anitique Rep. Loren Legarda
• Attorney Larry Gadon
• Former Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista
• Former Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro
• Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian
• Former Sen. Jinggoy Estrada
Gadon, a law practitioner, has been assisting the BBM team for years and has slowly climbed the senatorial survey, only a few notches underneath the top 12. Gadon was referred to as a law practitioner regardless of the fact that he was suspended from taking legal action by the Supreme Court after releasing a video swearing at a journalist.
“He was publicly recognized for reducing the budget of the Commission on Human Rights to P1,000 in 2017,” he stated, referring to Marcoleta’s role in the decision not to renew the franchise of network powerhouse ABS-CBN. BBM-Sara UniTeam is an abbreviation for the BBM-Sara UniTeam.
