Sen. Manny Pacquiao says it was not his intention to “attack” President Duterte after claiming that the current administration is “three times” more corrupt than previous administrations. Sen. Manny Pacquiao issued a warning to Health Sec. Francisco Duque III, saying he’ll start with exposing the misuse of funds within the Department of Health amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Health Secretary Francisco Duque III responded to Sen. Manny Pacquiao’s corruption allegation, saying a report on the agency’s COVID-19 expenditure had already been sent to the senator’s office. Health Undersecretary Leopoldo Vega says the DOH has submitted its budget utilization report on the Bayanihan 1 and 2 to the office of Senator Manny Pacquiao. The lawmaker earlier urged the government to look into the DOH’s procurement of PPEs, face masks and test kits.

Recently, Manny Pacquiao statement “The President… sana hindi siya galit sa akin. Kung ang kampanya niya ay laban sa corruption, tinutulungan ko lang siya. Ako naman, ang advocacy ko talaga labanan ang corruption dahil yan ang pahirap sa bansa natin.”
