FDA Approves Covaxin of India can now be injected in the Philippines

The Philippine drug regulator has already issued an emergency use authorization to the COVID-19 vaccine manufactured by Bharat Biotech in India. Just last week Bharat submitted a certificate for good manufacturing practices, completing the requirement for exporting Covaxin, FDA chief Eric Domingo said on Friday, June 25, 2021.

“Ngayon maaari na po silang mag-import. Maaari na pong gamitin din dito sa bansa po natin.” According to Bharat they are able to produce 23 million vaccines per month.

In the news of CNBC-TV18, it appeared that the efficacy or effectiveness of Covaxin reached 77.8% in its phase-3 data.

The cost of the vaccine for foreign governments is estimated at $ 15- $ 20 per dose.
