Veteran action director Toto Natividad — Federico Natividad Jr. in real life has passed away due to COVID-19 on April 27, 2021, Tuesday Morning, at age 63 because of COVID-19.

April 21, Tuesday, when his son John Isaac Natividad posted on Facebook, “ako po ay mapagkumbababang humihingi ng tulong po para sa aking ama na si Direk Toto Natividad, kailangan po maconfine ni papa sa ospital. nahihirapan po kami ngayon makahanap ng ospital dahil puno po lahat. baka po makahingi ng tulong niyo.”

A few hours later, the reporters found out that Direk Toto was confined in the extended ICU of Green City Medical Center, San Fernando City, Pampanga.

Janica Ribo and Lui Ribo started a fundraiser at gofundme, “Master Director Toto Natividad’s medical fund.”

That was reposted by John Isaac. The fundraiser described the veteran director’s journey: “On April 20th Direk Toto had a difficulty breathing He was rushed to Navotas Gen Hospital. They were struggling to put his oxygen levels up that he had to be intubated.”

“With the increase in Covid19 patients in the metro there were no available hospitals that can accommodate him so he had be transferred to Green City Med Center at San Fernando, Pampanga which was the only hospital that is willing to accommodate him.”

“He is still in the ICU and currently intubated. The diagnosis of his Pulmonologist is Severe Covid Pneumonia. He also suffered from Cytokines storm and acute Renal Failure.

“Haemoperfusion is needed to clean his blood of the toxins and dialysis as well to help kick-start his kidneys.

“I am starting this gofundme to help cover any possible expenses. It’s his 2nd day and their running bill as of writing is already 430,000php.

“Isaac’s family is our family too, and we know what it feels like to have hospital bills ballooning on us, to lose hope and not have a fighting chance…

“Please keep his father and family in your thoughts and prayers.

“Any possible donations would be greatly appreciated. We will continue to update you all as things go from here.”
