Makati City Prosecutor’s Office Orders the Release of 3 Suspects Related to Christine Dacera’s Death

The Makati City Prosecutor’s Office has ordered the release of three suspects detained in connection with the death of flight attendant Christin Dacera.

According to Prosecutor General Benedicto Malcontento, the local prosecutor’s office referred the case for preliminary investigation with the intention of finding out if Dacera was exploited before he was killed and if proven, what was the participation of the suspects in the case.

Among those released are John Pascual Dela Serna III, Rommel Galido and John Paul Halili who are facing a r*pe with h*micide case.

The case of the suspects will also be subject to a preliminary investigation scheduled on January 13.

In preliminary investigations, prosecutors will determine if there is a sufficient basis for the respondents to file a case in court.

“No evidence medically or scientifically was presented to prove that the cause of death or the rupture of aortic aneurysm was by reason of the alleged rape,” the resolution stated. “Likewise, if homicide was committed, the person/s responsible is/are yet to be ascertained through further evidence.”
