Chung Heon-Chul ‘South Korean rapper Iron’ Dies at 29

South Korean rapper Iron’s real name is ‘Chung Heon-Chul’ was found bleeding and lying on the grass outside of an apartment complex in Seoul by a security guard at around 10:25 am today, January 25, 2021.

He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. There is currently no other information on his death.

“We were called in by an [apartment] guard who told us they discovered Iron. He was urgently taken to the hospital, but he passed away,” the police said.

“At this point, it is unclear whether or not Iron died by suicide. We are investigating the exact cause of his death,” they added.

He gained fame after becoming a semifinalist in the third season of cable music channel Mnet’s hip-hop audition program “Show Me the Money” in 2014.
