Kapuso actress Kylie Padilla admitted that their relationship with husband Aljur Abrenica underwent toxic stages from the start.
As to recall, Kylie linked with the actor since 2011. She was 18-year-old at the time. They worked together with Aljur Abrenica at GMA-7 who was 21-year-old at the time. The two were in relationship but break up on 2014.
After two year time, the two come again on 2016. But the actress said her father Robin Padilla shows no favor with her boyfriend as she made clarification about the issue on her recent video vlog uploaded on September 4, 2020. (Watch video below).
“Nung start pa lang ng relationship namin, medyo hindi siya maganda,”
“Hindi siya naging maganda. Strict kasi yung tatay ko. Ayaw pa niyang magka-boyfriend ako,
“’Tapos noon, nung malaman nila na I was seeing someone, yun na, nagkagulo na,” the actress said.
On the other line of her statement she said,
“Based on my experience sa earlier part ng relationship natin, ang dami talagang toxic na nangyari na hindi naman kailangan.
“Hindi kailangan ng dirty laundry mo iere mo. That’s not how I want my life to be like,” she added.
According to Kylie, her husband wanted their relationship private because Aljur understand that letting people know about it worsen the situation.
“That’s why now, medyo low key kami, kasi nga toxic ng first part of our relationship.
“And now that everything is under our control, we try to keep it private,” clarifies the actress.
Kylie narrated that the issue about her pregnancy and the issue about engagement with her boyfriend in 2017 supposed to be out of the knowledge of the people. She called that stage of their relationship as “toxic.”
“There were things na nailabas sa media na ayaw ko sanang mailabas, malaman [ng publiko]. Di naman kailangan. That is private, pero lumabas pa rin.
“Kasi pag nasa loob ka ng sitwasyon, hindi mo nakikita na hindi pala maganda sa lahat ng naapektuhan.”
The actor also shared his sentiment over the issue of Kylie’s pregnancy and about the engagement. He blamed all to Kylie’s talent manager at Vidanes Celebrity Marketing (VCM) for airing the issue on public without their knowledge. According to Aljur, they’ve tall the rights to tell the issue on public.
The actor also clarifies that he made his proposal when they’re in Japan on October 2016. That is what he wanted, engagement first before the pregnancy issue comes out.
The actor also clarifies the issue between him and former actor Robin Padilla. He said that many times he tried to come to him but the latter refused to accept his presence which is an indication that the former action start was still in sentiment over the matter.
Robin made no visit to Kylie when she gives birth of their first baby Alas Joaquin on August 4, 2017. But he meets his grandson after 3 months sometimes on November 2017 but without Aljur at the time Robin made a visit.
Aljur and Robin patch things up on February 2018 during the reunion of Padilla family.
