Cardinal Tagle Confirmed Positive for COVID-19

Former Archbishop of Manila, Archbishop Antonio Luis Tagle tested positive for COVID-19 when he arrive from Italy to the country.

According to the report, Tagle tested on September 7, 2020 in Rome and his result was negative but when he arrived in Manila he was positive. This report was confirmed by the CBCP and Vatican also confirmed this news.

Matteo Bruni, Director of the Holy See Press Office told media reporter that the Cardinal however is positive but he did not show symptoms. Tagle will be undergoing mandatory quarantine in Manila to comply the IATF quarantine protocol as strictly required by the department of health.

From Vatican Press Room, a text message in German original caption made confirmation on Friday afternoon that Tagle tested positive for COVID-19 disease upon arrival in Manila.

The online community of Catholic believers following the report prompted to take social media account to express prayer for healing and fast recovery of the Archbishop.
