Former actor Ariosto Reyes, Jr. died on Sunday, August 23, 2020.
Ariosto Reyes is one of the hit actors in the year 80’s. He was paired with Vivian Foz in 1980 with the hit film “Lovingly Yours, Helen.” After the said movie Ariosto took a long vacation from the showbiz industry for almost 20 years.
Before his end, Ariosto was battling cancer for more than a year. The worst case happened that he fell into a comma for three days about two weeks ago before he finally succumb of the cancer.
According to film director Benjie Garcia the batch mate of Ariosto in Ateneo where the actor was taking the course AB Communication Arts, he said that his friend is a little older than him, Ariosto must be at the age at least 62 or 63.
Last year on August 17, 2019 Ariosto was seen again on TV in an episode of GMA Network “Magpakailanman” the episode “Mula sa Puso Hanggang sa Buto” The Blisse Cervantes Story, was a reunion project with Vivian Foz, the project was shown on the same date on August 2019.
During his time in showbiz, Ariosto was able to accomplish several film that include Gumuho Man Ang Langit (1969), Magsisi Man Ako (1969), Wanted: Perfect Mother (1970), Sinta (1976), Pag-ibig Ko’y Awitin Mo (1977), Kontrobersyal (1981), Mga Uod at Rosas (1982), Dormitoryo! Buhay-estudyante (1982), at Bayan Ko, Kapit Sa Patalim (1984).
