Quezon City-3 Councilors Tested Positive for COVID-19; Building Temporarily Close

Three (3) councilors in Quezon City has tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) as of Wednesday.

Amid the fight against COVID-19, several heads of cities and municipalities had been contracted with the disease.

Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte is one of those Mayors that had tested positive for the disease.

Recently, there was an update that three (3) Quezon City councilors has also tested positive for COVID-19 crossed the surface. Based on a report of ABS-CBN News, due to the increasing number of employees in the office, the Legislative Building of QC issued a temporarily closed of the building for containment measures starting July 15 to July 19.

The local government said that strict contact tracing and follow-up testing will be conducted. Also, disinfection and sanitation will be done at the Legislative Building. According to the report, coronavirus testings are still ongoing.

However, there are still no updates as to the condition of the councilors and the office staff who are positive for COVID-19.

As we all read and hear in the news everyday, COVID-19 fight in the Philippines is not yet over. There are still new cases thta we are facing everyday. Due to this, almost all the community and cities in the country are still under quarantine.

Cebu City is still recorded the highest cases is under an Enhanced Community Quarantine. Metro Manila is under a General Community Quarantine while most areas in PH are under a Modified GCQ.
