DOH Confirmed COVID-19 cases Rise to 57,545 as of July 14, 2020

There have been 13.1 million people infected with COVID-19, according to the Johns Hopkins University coronavirus dashboard. Of those, 573,000 have died while almost 7.3 million have already recovered.

Recently, Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana says he is under self-quarantine while awaiting test results after his staff tested positive for COVID-19. He adds he is asymptomatic.

The COVID-19 critical care for the following regions is at warning zone (30-70% occupancy rate):

CALABARZON
Central Visayas
Eastern Visayas
Zamboanga Peninsula
BARMM

The Department of Health (DOH) provides the latest information on the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) situation in the country, including the actions undertaken by the department in addressing the pandemic, through a ‘Virtual Presser’ on July 14, 2020. 

According to DOH, “As of July 14, 2020, the Department of Health reports the total number of COVID-19 cases at 57,545.

A total of 634 positive cases are reported based on the total tests done by 65 out of 82 current operational labs.

DOH likewise announces 88 recoveries. This brings the total number of recoveries to 20,459.
