However, according to an article from Esquire, Boxing promoter Bob Arum said when he was in a Zoom conference with Pacquiao, the Senator told Arum:

Bob, I’m gonna run in 2022 and, when I win, I want you there at my inauguration

Pacquiao for the President has been debated topic throughout the years. Ever since he was elected as a senator, Pacquiao faced criticisms due to his lack of knowledge in policymaking. Due to that, Pacquiao began to take a course in political science in the University of Makati.

There, he took classes specializing in local government administration and received his degree last year.

And now, with his new degree, there were still netizens who reacted positively to Pacquiao’s milestone. However, there are still some who question how he got to study with his tight schedule as a boxer and Senator.

Moreover, back in 2017, President Rodrigo Duterte teased the senator that he would be next in line for the presidency.

The determination you have shown and the humility embodied in the glorious triumph are worthy of emulation. Continue to inspire as we lead them towards a more prosperous life

However, in 2019, Duterte told Pacquiao to think things through if ever he wanted to run in the 2022 elections. So far, Senator Pacquiao had yet to give his comments on Bob Arum’s statement.
