Kapamilya actress Liza Soberano voiced her concerns with regards to the effects of Online Sexual Exploitation of Children (OSEC).

There are a lot of cases of exploitation of children in the country and sadly, due to the evolution of technology, it became much easier for the predators.

The actress joined the live discussion with Senator Riza Hontiveros, Rey Bicol from OSEC PH, and Atty. Nitz Dalde.

Rey Bicol also discussed that some of his cases involves young children with ages below 12 years old. Most of these cases also involves their parents or relatives.

These videos can be mostly seen on social medias such as Twitter and Facebook. Over 600 children have now been rescued because of the joint efforts of some concerned groups.

“I’m hopeful that the newer generations, the youth, will be more aware, will be more educated on how they use social media amd the internet properly.” Liza stated.

“I find that the youth are smarter nowadays and they know what is right from wrong and how to take care of themselves and defend themselves amongst predators online.”
