Education Minister Jean-Michel Blanquer told the radio reporter on French radio station RTL that 70 new cases recorded since students came back to school. He said it is “inevitable.”

“It’s inevitable this sort of thing will happen,” he said. “In almost all cases, this [transmission] has happened outside of the school.”

Blanquer noted that the 70 cases were a small proportion of the 1.4 million schoolchildren who had returned.

The incident prompted to close affected schools to avoid worsen the situation.

However, in the Philippines, this is the reason that most of the parents are not willing to send their student at school for this school year opening in the since that there is still no available vaccine for the coronavirus.
