Meralco lineman is making round on the online world following after his photo that surfaced in the internet where he appeared hanging on the power line cable to clear the entangled kite that causes brownout in the area.

According to the official statement of Manila Electric Company (Meralco), one of the reasons of the power failure of today in the country is due to the kites entangled in the power line causing discomfort to more than two (2) million households in the country.

In this reason, Meralco is appealing to the public to considerate their work and avoid flying kites in the areas where there are heavy power line cables attached on the posts so that the power supply will not be interrupted resulting to the power failure.

Despite of Meralco’s request to the public, there are still many folks continue to fly their kites on the thickly wired areas.

In a Facebook post of a netizen, on Ghala Era’s FB account, a photo of a lineman was shared on the public which the same photo captured the eyes of the netizens online as there’s appeared a brave man crossing the power line cable to remove the entangled kite. The lineman was just using a tie as his safety harness to cross into the center where the kite was trapped up and he immediately remove or else it causes fire especially when there is a rain.

The post on Ghala Era’s FB account went viral flooded with mixed reactions. Some has expressed their appreciation to the brave lineman while some commented to sympathize him how risky his work was.
