Kim Jong Un’s Health Deteriorates: Receives Treatments and Cardiovascular Procedure

Kim Jong Un, a North Korean leader is reported to have been receiving treatment and has underwent cardiovascular procedure early this month.

April 15 in North Korea is considered to be a holiday since they celebrated the anniversary of the birthday of its founder, the current leader’s grandfather, Kim Il Sung. However, Kim Jong Un was not present during that time.

Kim Jong Un, is reported to be recovering at the villa in the Mount Kumgang resort county of Hyansang, on the east coast as of now according to the Daily NK.

South Korea’s Unification Ministry declined to comment on the report.

According to Daily NK, Kim Jong Un’s health has worsened in the past months due to heavy smoking, obesity and overwork.

“My understanding is that he had been struggling (with cardiovascular problems) since last August but it worsened after repeated visits to Mount Paektu,” quoted by a source.

On April 11, Kim left for the hospital after a meeting of the ruling Workers’ Party, where he was publicly last seen according to the report.

Pyongyang fired multiple short-range missiles as a part of the celebration of Kim Il Sung’s birthday last week. They are usually observed by Kim however there was no KCNA report on the test at all.
